God’s Strength in Our Weakness
We often want to hide our weaknesses, but God invites us to see them differently. Our limits are not barriers to His work—they’re the very places where His power shines brightest.
Scripture:
“My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
Reflection:
Your weakness is not a liability—it’s where God’s strength is revealed. The very area you struggle in may one day become your testimony of His sustaining grace. Adversity sometimes comes in the form of physical distress, illness, or weakness. These can tempt us to give up, yet it is in these that God’s strength can be found in ways it otherwise might not.
Application:
Name one weakness or limitation you carry and ask God to show His power in that space today.
Thoughful Prompts:
- Where do I feel weakest right now?
- How have I seen God’s strength work through my limits before?
- What would it look like to “boast in weakness,” as Paul did?
Prayer – You might use this to start a time of prayer about such adversity…
Lord, in my weakness, reveal Your power. Teach me to depend on Your grace.
Closing Thought:
Don’t despise your weakness—lean into God’s strength. It’s often through the cracks of our lives that His light shines the brightest.
