At Westview Bible Church, we consider the study of the scriptures to be essential for us to come to faith, share our faith, know our Lord, obey our Lord, serve our Lord, glorify our Lord. 1 Corinthians 10:31 declares, “Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. We must know what glorifies Him to do this. And we can never be all that He would have us be, to be blessed in all they ways He wants to bless us, to be grateful for all the blessings we have in His Son Jesus, if we don’t dedicate ourselves to the study of His word. 1 Timothy 3:16-17 reveals, “All Scripture is [h]inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for [i]training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”
Communion
Third Sunday during Worship Service (Rick Riddell, George Harlin)
Each time we share the Communion Table, a message from the Scriptures is shared to help draw us into the Lord’s presence in the Spirit with humility. Elders Rick Riddell or George Harlin explain relevant passages to help us focus on our standing in Christ and lead us to partake of the Lord’s table in a worthy manner that we might commune with Him together in the fullness of His joy.
Midweek Bible Study & Prayer Group – Proverbs
Wednesday – 9:30 am (Dean Roberts)
Each Wednesday Morning we gather for a bible study. We are currently studying the Book of Proverbs. This compilation of wise truths was Solomon’s gift to his sons, and of course to we who are in the church through faith in Jesus Christ. We look at these through the lens of the New Testament to find our application in the church age, and often a greater understanding of them.
Women’s Growth Group
Thursday – 6:30 pm
A weekly evening meeting of Bible Study and encouragement of women seeking to grow in faith and in their relationship with Jesus. They are currently studying Romans 8, using a book “Romans 8 – If God Is For Us”
Paul in this chapter assures, empowers, encourages and inspires the faithful in Christ to live confidently and victoriously, fully empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Men’s Growth Group
Tuesday – 7:00 pm (meeting every other Tuesday)
An evening meeting of Bible Study and encouragement for men seeking to grow in faith and in their relationship with Jesus and others. We are currently studying the book of 1 Timothy. Paul’s letter sent to equip Timothy as he took the helm of the Church at Ephesus. Paul was equipping him to equip the church in holiness, purity of doctrine, and other aspects of the Christian life.,
